      AD 115. Radiate bust of Trajan right, drapery on left 
      shoulder / S P Q R OPTIMO PRINCIPI around, AQVA TRAIANA 
      flanked by S--C in exergue, river god reclining left, 
      holding reed, under arched grotto. BMCRE p. 194, +, pl.

      Trajan's aqueduct restored a small river that had 
      disappeared and redirected its flow to Rome, where it 
      fed his baths and greatly increased the capital's supply 
      of fresh water.
