     Time of Hadrian, gold funerary Bracteate medal of 25mm, (2.21g)
     Laureate bust right, drapery on far shoulder, softly detailed, as
     made.
Same, incuse, with more detail. VF for type, and
     extremely rare. 
This was evidently made by pressing a prepared
piece of gold sheet over the obverse of an aureus of Hadrian.
Charon's obol was placed in the mouth of the deceased to 
pay Charon as he ferried the dead across the river Styx.
