ROMAN EMPIRE. Eugenius (AD 392-394). Silver light 
miliarensis (4.41 gm). Trier. D N EVGENI-VS P F AVG, 
draped, cuirassed bust right, seen from front, wearing 
pearl diadem / GLORIA ROMANORVM, emperor standing left, 
holding labarum and shield, TRPS in exergue. RIC 104 
(R3). Cohen 2 (300 Fr.) var. RSC 2+a, Gnecchi I, pl. 36, 
13 (same dies). Very rare denomination for Eugenius. 
Good very fine 

Gnecchi lists four types of miliarensis for Eugenius 
represented by a total of only six specimens. Gnecchi's 
p. 82, no. 2, from the same dies as our coin, is listed 
with VIRTVS EXERCITVS instead of GLORIA ROMANORVM.
