  commemorate the Third Neocoria of Ephesus. Laureate, draped and cuirassed busts of
  Caracalla on left and Geta on right, vis à vis / Caracalla and Geta as the 'New
  Suns', each on horseback, hailing statue of Artemis Ephesia. BMC Ionia 292. Fine,
  dark brown patina, pitting. Rare. Estimate $150.

  In her article in ANSMN 27, Anne Johnston states that "a third Neocorate was granted
  probably circa 211-212 for Caracalla and Geta, though it was diverted to Artemis by
  Caracalla after Geta's murder."
