  crested Corinthian helmet; dolphin behind / BASILEWS left, PURROU right, grain ear;

  VF, green patina, a few breaks in the patina around the edge. Estimate $250.

Pyrrhos was the king of Epiros, and was called to stave off 
the Carthaginian invasion in 278 BC. Pyrhhos also briefly 
engaged the Romans. He later abandoned both the Greek 
cause in Sicily and his unsuccessful attempts against the 
Romans.
