Rev: KATANAIWN beneath charioteer, wearing a long chiton, driving 
a  quadriga galloping right, rounding an Ionic column; Nike 
flying left above, crowning the charioteer; crayfish right in exergue.

This coin, by the artist Choirion, is the rarest of all the 
Sicilian facing head issues. The head of Apollo appears with thick 
and elaborate hair, and this issue shows a pensive, almost other-
worldly, expression.
