1st century BC. AR Cistophoric Tetradrachm (12.55 
gm, 8h). Cista mystica within ivy wreath / Bow 
case between two serpents; monogram above, Q to 
left, thyrsos to right. Stumpf 3 (M. Antonius 
M.f.); SNG France 1767 (same obv. die).

The quaestor who struck these monogram-signed issues in 
Pergamon and Ephesos often thought to be L. 
Antonius, the brother of Mark Antony.
