Tetradrachm (16.61 gm, 1h). Uncertain Black Sea or 
Thracian mint. Struck late 3rd-early 2nd century 
BC. Head of Herakles right, wearing lion's skin / 
Zeus Aėtophoros seated left; burning altar(?) in

This coin was omitted from Price's corpus. Although it 
may be a barbarous imitation, the style and accurate 
lettering do not preclude the possibility of an official issue 
of some small settlement or tribe. The attribution to the Black 
Sea or Thracian area is based on the coin's style and its 
inclusion in the Propontis hoard.
