Hyrcanus II SHARP OVERSTRIKE, An INTERESTING overstrike that obscures most of the previous coin, though SOME traces remain. It is hard to find these with the both coins identifiable. Hyrcanus II, 67 and 63-40 BC, prutah of 15.2 mm, 1.96 grams. Obverse: Ancient Hebrew in a wreath, mere traces of previous coin. Reverse: Double cornucopias struck upon lily, with a large part of the Hebrew inscription from previous coin. Reference: Hendin 478.
