it was specifically adapted from a type issued by his 
father Herod the Great, with only the inscription modified.

Herod Archelaus, son of Herod the Great, 4 BC-6 AD, bronze 
prutah of 14.4 mm, 1.01 grams.

Obverse: Anchor with long arms.
Reverse: "Ethnarch" in wreath.
