IONIA. Heraclea by Latmus. Ca. 150–145 BC. Silver tetradrachm 
(17.02 gm). 

Head of Athena Parthenos right, wearing pendant earring and 
triple-crested Attic helmet ornamented with five horse foreparts 
above visor, Pegasus above raised cheek guard, and vegetative 
tendril on neckpiece 
HRAKLEWTWN, horizontal club, below owl standing three-quarters 
right, flanked by MAT monogram on left and WVP monogram on 
right, oak wreath border.
