ELIS: Olympia. Ca. 468 BC. AR hemidrachm (2.86 gm).

Eagle flying right, carrying snake in beak, its body 
wrapped around eagle's tail / F-A, winged thunderbolt, 
all in circular incuse. SNG Berry 806 (same obverse 
die). Cf. SNG Lockett 2388 (same obverse die, but 
different reverse type). Seltman -. From the first 
emission of coinage struck for the Olympic Games. 
Granular surfaces. Good very fine
