ELIS: Olympia. Ca. 269-250 BC. AR stater (12.30 gm).

Laureate head of Zeus right / F-A, eagle with closed 
wings standing right on tail of coiled serpent, control 
letters A-R (latter retrograde) across field. Jameson 
2510 (this coin). Seltman DF/zt (new die combination: 
obverse of 237/reverse of 238). Extremely rare. 
Attractively toned. High point a bit soft, otherwise 
extremely fine
