ORC9905 Unique Seleukid ruler!

   Ptolemais(?), Diademed head of Zeus right. / Beginning at 4:00: ØEOY
   PTOLEMAIOY FILOMHT. . . Eagle with open wings standing right on
   thunderbolt, uncertain oval countermark. Unpublished and apparently
   unique. F, red-brown patina.
   A most important coin. Rare tetradrachms with the title PTOLEMAIOY
   FILOMHTOPOS QEOY are known from Ptolemais (Svor 1486). The flan is
   not a typical beveled, round, cast flan, which would be expected from
   Gaza or Paphos. If from Ptolemais, then this coin is evidence of the
   authority of Ptolemy VI in Syria at the end of his reign. The
   well-placed (Seleukid?) countermark perhaps effaces a RTO monogram.
